Jack Martin is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Gulf Breeze, FL who attends Gulf Breeze HS. Medium athletic build with room to fill out, fairly mature look for his age. Long extended arm action, 3/4's arm slot, uses his lower half well, arm is loose and works well coming through. Upper 70's fastball, gets good run and sink down in the zone, heavy fastball. Nice slider that he has good feel for shaping and locating, very effective pitch at this level. Works quickly and knows how to pitch, missed lots of barrels. Has some projection due to arm action and ease of delivery. Right handed hitter, big leg lift raise with a low hand start, complicated timer, upper cut swing plane and puts the ball in the air. Good student.
