Benjamin Hegedus is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Cinco Ranch HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with more to come. 7.24 runner, moves well defensively in the middle infield with good athleticism, quick feet, gets behind the ball well and makes strong accurate throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a pull back load, swings hard and creates some bat speed, aggressive hitter, line drive swing path, hard pull to mid field contact, has solid hitting tools to develop. Also pitched, high leg raise delivery, over the top arm slot. Fastball very consistent at 79 mph, mostly straight, shows good bite and depth on his slider. Solid all around player. Good student.
