Nate McCollum is a 2020 OF/2B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Dutchtown. Medium build with some compact strength. Outstanding runner, 6.33 in the sixty. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base, quick hands and creates bat speed, has strength in his swing and can get the ball to jump hard when squared, plenty of power potential, can be late getting his swing started at times but should improve with repetitions. Clean actions in the outfield through the ball, full long and loose arm action, gets on top of his throws with nice carry. Key to his development will in how his bat develops as the athletic tools stand out. Good student, verbal commitment to North Carolina State.
