Mason Dillow is a 2019 3B/OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Chaparral HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and shows present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, shows a quick transfer out of the glove into a longer release, works to a higher release point, quick footwork with high energy actions to ball, gets on top and shows accuracy across the diamond. Also pitched, clean arm action coming through the back working to a three-quarters arm slot. Works exclusively out of the stretch, able to generate plane with some extension out front, occasional cut to fastball, topped out at 81 mph, flashed an 11-5 curveball with depth when on top. Righthanded hitter, employs a high leg lift trigger for timing at start of swing, shows looseness to swing and looks to lift the ball out front. Has timing mechanisms to swing and able to generate nice carry with extension when extended out front and on time, works the middle and pull side parts of the field. Good student.
