Shane Anderson is a 2020 MIF/3B/C with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Hamilton HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Ran a 6.81 sixty-yard dash. Primary middle infielder with smooth, athletic footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Primarily released from a three-quarters slot but flashed the ability to release from multiple arm slots with accuracy, topped at 83 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Compact hand path to baseball with a level, line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed good feel for the barrel with solid bat speed when on time. Employed a mid-field approach and consistently produced sharp line drive contact between the gaps. Also pitched utilizing a quick leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and worked to the plate with slight drop and drive actions. Clean arm circle and released from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand well with occasional run to arm side in the low 80's, topped at 83 miles per hour. Created swings and misses to both left and right handed batters with a breaking ball that flashed tight spin with late depth in the low 70's. Tools will continue to improve with maturity and repetition.
