Billy Pospisil is a 2019 3B/RHP/C with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Arvada, CO who attends Pomona HS. Medium frame with quality, strong present build. Ran extremely well, posting a 6.66 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from upright, even-based stance; lays barrel back into load to get on plane, shifts well into contact, stays committed to the middle of the field and does a good job working back through the box with strength at contact. Worked out defensively in a pair of spots; lines the ball up well in the infield, shows solid footwork through actions, fields cleanly and makes accurate throws across the diamond up to 78 MPH. Caught as well, receives well and gains ground forward, solid mechanical footwork, shows solid arm strength up to 75 MPH and popped as low as 1.95 seconds. Pitches exclusively from the stretch, compact arm stroke through the back, throws from high three quarters arm slot with good arm speed. Fastball worked 76-79 MPH with slight arm side run, showed sharp-breaking curveball with quality depth and spin; pounded the zone and got quick outs. Very good student.
