Kristopher Higgenbottom is a 2021 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-3 127 lb. frame from Horn Lake, MS who attends Horn Lake. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Primary first baseman with quick, athletic footwork while moving to and centering the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Throws generated softer, accurate carry across the infield topping at 66 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple toe tap trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended path to contact with a line drive barrel plane. Flashed occasional feel for the barrel while employing a mid field, line drive approach. Also pitched utilizing a simple side step delivery. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot creating slight cutting action to glove side with a fastball that topped at 69 miles per hour. Flashed a curveball that had 2/7 shape with looser spin and occasional depth in the low 60's. Looked to fill the bottom quadrants off the zone and challenge hitters. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition.
