Johnluca Moschetto is a 2017 OF/1B, LHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Lagrange Highlands, IL who attends Lyons Twp. Medium, athletic frame with solid present build and good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.32 seconds. Sets up to hit from open stance with high hand set, quiet and controlled throughout load and launch, quick bat and hands to and through the hitting zone with line drive swing plane. Generates solid linear jump off the barrel to go along with solid extension through contact. Worked out in the outfield, athletic actions and movements to the baseball when fielding, shows clean actions at the ball and clean exchanges through it. Solid arm strength up to 76 MPH. Pitched as well, pitched exclusively from the stretch, overtop arm slot with some plane to the plate, fastball worked 69-73 MPH with slight arm side life. Showed curveball with 12/6 shape and solid depth, did a good job pitching to contact and keeping defense in the game. Good student.
