Adrian Burciaga is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Deer Park, TX who attends Deer Park HS. Medium athletic frame with square shoulders, has present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.56 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, high leg kick up above belt creates deception; long and loose arm action through the back getting to a high three-quarters release point. Creates nice extension, can work in on righthanded hitters with fastball which topped 80 mph, flashed cut action. Short depth to curveball with 1-7 shape up to 61 mph, mixed well and picked up swings and misses, maintains arm speed well. Similar smooth arm action in the outfield, stays on line through release, can continue to incorporate additional lower half, accurate throws. Lefthanded hitters, begins with a wide base and and a square stance in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Loose swing through the zone and incorporates a pull side approach, creates line drive contact. Full swing path and looks to elevate the ball at point of contact. Good student.
