Maddox Burr is a 2021 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Bowling Green, KY who attends Greenwood HS. Lean frame with a medium build. Projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Primary shortstop, moves well to each side and funnels the baseball cleanly with two hands out front. Reads hops well while moving to the baseball. Compact arm stroke at release and created on line carry to the bag, topped at 79 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance. Comes to an even stance with stride and worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Primarily worked to the middle of the field with a line drive barrel plane, but flashed the feel to work to opposite field as well when maintaining balance. Also pitched utilizing a smooth paced delivery with a high energy release. Fastball came out of hand well generating some downhill tilt through the zone in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Tends to lower arm slot with a curveball offering that flashed occasional depth in the upper 60's. Very good student as well.
