Ryland Brown is a 2020 OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Greenbrier Christian Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a high waist, long limbs with present strength and additional room to fill moving forward. ran a 6.87 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with short steps and works behind it nicely, extra step moving into release, strides open with lower half, funnels into a short and compact arm action through the back, present strength on throws and projects moving forward with refined footwork. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide and spread stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; hands start deep but are very fast to get the barrel out front and generate whip to the barrel. Full swing path through the zone, swings with intent and looks to impact the baseball at point of contact, shows big jump when squared. High motor player on the bases, disruptive and quick base runner. Good student. Named to Junior National Top Prospect List.
