Payton Green is a 2021 SS/2B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Cary, NC who attends Green Hope. Large frame with athletic, highly-projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.06 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with leg lift trigger, easy bat speed with clean path through the zone, attacks the ball out front and generates excellent jump off the barrel with very good carry, smoothness throughout swing, projects extremely well with the bat, chance for prodigious power at physical maturity. Primary middle infielder, smoothness to actions throughout, surrounds the ball well and has very good hands, quick and easy footwork with innate balance, solid range, controls body well and shows obvious athleticism, quick release with accuracy and zip on throws, clocked up to 86 mph across the diamond.
