McCrae Wiest is a 2019 RHP with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Carrollton, TX who attends Prestonwood Christian Academy. Big and tall athletic build with a high waist and broad shoulders, very projectable physically. Hands over head delivery with a loose and easy arm action, will work from the stretch occasionally even without runners on, tends to rush down the mound from the stretch with limited lower half use. Stays under control and directional well. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Developing feel for is curveball but will flash some sharp 12/6 shape when he's out front with it. Has quick feet and shows athleticism on the mound fielding his position. Easy to see him continuing to improve. Good student.
