Luke Hyzdu is a 2019 SS/2B, RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Mesa, AZ who attends Red Mountain. Medium frame with square shoulders and an athletic build. Ran a 6.86 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Fields the ball out front from a wide base. Gets around the ball and comes through with momentum towards the bag. Clean glove actions out front. Short arm action in the back with a nice release. Hard carry across the infield topping out at 85 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and high hands and back elbow. Compact path to the ball with a short shift in the lower half. Works the ball to all fields through line drive contact. Secondary righthanded pitcher working through a side step delivery into a medium leg lift. Compact arm circle into a three-quarters release. Stays tall on the back side creating extension through release. Creates some angle to the plate on the fastball up to 84 miles per hour. Sharp lateral break on the slider at 75 miles per hour also creating a bit of drop on the pitch on occasion.
