Humberto Martinez is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends North Shore HS. Long and lean athletic build, projects well physically, young look at present. Loose arm action on the mound with a deep arm circle in back, drop and drive mechanics with a 3/4's arm slot, repeats his delivery well and fills up the strike zone. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, has some occasional running action. Curveball is thrown for strikes at any point in the count, has good depth when he's on top of it. Had quick and easy innings challenging hitters and will keep improving his raw stuff as he physically mature. Showed smooth athletic actions in the outfield with good range. Left handed hitter, simple swing mechanics and handles the barrel well, pull to mid field contact from an open stance. Good student.
