Robert Coleman is a 2017 OF/RHP, UT with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Minor. Large frame with lean, athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.80 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright stance with high hand set and high back elbow, big leg lift timing mechanism into stride. Shows short, compact swing through the zone with good hand quickness, fires hips through and creates torque, shows ability to make plane adjustments and squared up line drives as a result, with feel to go to all fields with firm contact. Worked out defensively in the outfield, fields cleanly out front with clean glove actions, moves well to the ball and shows athleticism throughout, gets off accurate throws to target with arm strength clocked up to 82 MPH. Pitched as well, short rocker step back into delivery with high leg kick, coils hips at balance point but stays tall on backside and drives downhill well. Fastball worked 75-80 MPH with good running life from extended low three quarters arm slot, mixed in curveball with sweeping shape and good horizontal break, did a good job throwing strikes and pitching off of fastball. Good student.
