Mark Petkovsek Jr is a 2017 OF with a 5-8 163 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX who attends Monsignor Kelly HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a strong, proportioned frame with present strength throughout. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well on feet while charging in on the ball, shows nice momentum working through it with long strides, fields the ball to the side, shows accuracy to the intended base, carry on throws will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Loads hands close to body, utilizes a gliding step moving into contact, upper body dominant swing with a short and direct path, linear swing plane coming through the zone. Uses strength well to generate bat speed, able to create leverage when getting arms extended. Excellent student.
