Brandon Johnson is a 2019 1B/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Brown Summit, NC who attends Piedmont High School. Large build and frame, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Primary first basemen, showed accurate feeds with a good first step to the ball, and raw arm strength. At the plate, started with an open stance, high hand set, high back elbow, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Very raw bat speed at the plate with a longer swing through the zone. Inconsistent plane at present with a linear swing path. Swing worked primarily through arms. Will continue to improve at the plate with additional lower half and strength.
