Zachary Almendarez is a 2020 SS/2B/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Robstown, TX who attends Calallen HS. Smaller athletic build, has some wiry strength. 7.00 runner, has smooth actions in the infield with polished footwork, gets around and through the ball nicely with balance and athleticism, gets good carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, has a smooth well timed shift into contact, short and quick swing with barrel control, consistent middle of the field line drive contact, fluid and quiet swing approach that is easy to repeat. Good athlete with an idea how to play the game. Very good student.
