Michael Gangler is a 2020 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic HS. Small build, young and slender frame with some athleticism. Ran a 6.91 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, good approach and footwork to ball, comfortable fielding position but would like to see more momentum gained into throws, quick release with a short arm action, average arm strength that could increase velocity with stronger follow through. Also pitched, clean mechanics on the mound, arm works well through the back side, short arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, stays online throughout windup, ball comes out clean showing some armside life to the fastball, topped out at 80 mph but projects for more velocity as he grows and adds strength, mixed in 11-5 curveball with good depth, repeats delivery well. Righthanded hitter, wide base with a high hand set, leg lift trigger, mishit contact under the baseball during round, would like to see more consistent squared up contact for better results. Good student.
