Alexander Rushing is a 2018 C/3B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Pinewood Preparatory HS. The primary catcher has a compact frame that projects to add size as he matures. Showed well in the catchers workout posting a solid round of throws to second base. He was consistently accurate to the bag and showed good balance thought his movements. At the plate he stands tall with the hands high above the shoulder and has an active barrel for rhythm. Leg lift starts stride separation, has a good bat path to the ball, and good approach to all fields. Great student.
