Ethan Eggert is a 2018 OF/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Altamonte Springs, FL who attends Lake Brantley HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, has additional room for physical strength gains. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields out front and shows a quick transfer out of the glove, repeats actions well, short and compact arm action through the back, gets on top well and shows accuracy to the bag with carry. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread, slightly open stance with still hands, loads them back at start of swing. Very simple swing and turns the barrel over well for consistent contact. Nice feel for the barrel overall and shows sound bat speed through the zone, nice jump off the barrel to the pull side, projects with additional lower half involved in swing. Very good student.
