Pat Monteith is a 2020 OF/RHP, IF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from North Charleston, SC who attends R B Stall HS. Recorded a 7.32 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with an athletic build and present strength as well. Primary outfielder with a full arm path through release. Deliberate actions with good present arm strength, recorded up to 84 mph. Moves well with lateral agility. Secondary infielder who showed quickness to both sides. Throws from a sidearm angle and gets good carry on throws. Soft hands and fields the ball well out in front. Accurate throws across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a leg lift up to the belt and an online and easy arm action. Full arm circle and throws from a lower three-quarter arm slot. Lands online and slot helps to create solid dive and live on the fastball. Ground ball approach and works both sides of the plate easily. Fields position well and throws a sweeping slider with 9/3 shape to it. Solid downward life on the changeup and showed a feel for four pitches. Will drop slot to sidearm on occasion and showed inconsistent feel for the curveball. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base. High hand set with a high back elbow and still hands. Hard hit line drive contact consistently with quickness to the bat. Line drive swing plane with the ability to impact the ball with strength out in front. Tremendous student.
