Darrell Charles is a 2020 OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Bayamón, PR who attends Colegio Angel David. Tall and very slender long legged build. Very good runner, 6.59 in the sixty, has young footwork and exchanges in the outfield but get on top of the ball with plenty of raw arm strength and carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall stance with a limited lower half shift, short and direct to the ball but not strong enough to generate real bat speed yet without more lower half use, middle of the field line drive contact, lots of projection as a hitter with physical maturity and adjustments. Also pitched, topped out at 83 mph from the mound with limited present feel for repeating his delivery. Very interesting athlete who just needs time and strength. Good student. Named to the Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.
