Jake Roseman is a 2017 SS/2B, RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Black Mountain, NC who attends Charles D Owen High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically. Posted a 7.35 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, showed a good first step to the ball, fields centered, developing receiver and arm strength. At the plate, started with an open stance, wide base, high back elbow, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Generates leverage through lower half with a line drive swing plane. Raw bat speed at the plate with an up the middle and opposite field approach. Additional strength would help drive ability off the barrel. Good student.
