Marqez Chavez is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Spirit Lake, IA who attends The Bolles HS. Recorded a 7.31 second 60-yard dash time. Younger look and frame with plenty of time and room for additional physical projection. Primary catcher with deliberate actions and developing arm strength. Righthanded hitter with a crouched, even stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and a large leg lift trigger to shift into contact. Loose path to contact with a level, line drive swing plane. Upper half dominant swing allowing the strength to impact the ball through the point of contact. Occasionally gets extended out front. Rotational lower half through the swing. Great student.
