Sawyer Voortman is a 2022 RHP/C, 1B, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Ontario, CA who attends Orange Lutheran. Medium build with some slight projection left on it for the future. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.33 seconds. Primary pitcher whose FB was 80-81 MPH that didn't have much movement but had some late life as it approach the zone. The CB averaged 72 MPH and showed downer 11/5 shape. His CH averaged 73 MPH and he threw it with the same arm speed and out of the same slot as his FB. On the defensive side in the OF his throws reached up to 85 MPH and secures all fly balls with two hands. At the plate he works out of a slightly open and spread out stance with a high back elbow setup. Plenty of loft in the bat path will allow him to elevate with authority and he showed plenty of pull side power while still spraying contact to all fields. Good student.
