Esteban Hernandez is a 2020 2B/C/3B with a 5-7 115 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends El Paso HS. Young, athletic frame with slender present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.07 seconds. Switch-hitter, sets up to hit from right side with even-based, upright stance. Approach stays committed to the middle of the field on line drive plane, showed ability to pull the ball as well. Takes more aggressive, comfortable swing from left side, can work to all fields, will drive the ball from both sides better with additional strength. Worked out defensively in a pair of spots. Moves to both sides well in the infield, stops at ball and fields cleanly, gets off clean release, throws clocked up to 66 MPH. Comes in on ball well in the outfield, repeats actions and has athleticism, gets full body in throws and topped out at 72 MPH.
