Dylan Rose is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-0 156 lb. frame from Windermere, FL who attends The First Academy. Young athletic build with room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight spread stance with a deep hand load, has a quiet load and trigger and stays on time well, line drive swing plane with consistent middle of the field line drive contact, showed he could turn on the ball with some lift when he wanted to. Primary shortstop on defense, has some lower half quickness and good lower half actions, some feel for playing defense, soft hands out front, enough arm strength for the position. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a high hand set and a high leg raise over the rubber, pretty low effort mechanics, stays tall throughout with an upright finish. Fastball worked in the low 80's with some downhill angle, flashed good spin on some curveballs when he got out front on release. Solid all around player with good tools and some feel for the game. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
