Patrick Metzger is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from New Canaan, CT who attends New Canaan. Large frame with physical present build; good projection remaining. Ran 30 yard dash in 4.12 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, compact arm stroke through the back to three quarters slot release, good arm speed, gets off backside well and drives downhill. Fastball worked 77-80 MPH, creates some angle to the plate and showed some sink on 2 seamer. Flashed changeup with straighter action but solid arm speed. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with balanced set, keeps hands inside on inside-out swing path, tries to elevate and flashed the ability to drive the ball. Shows middle field approach overall, can work to all fields. Good student.
