Bryan Rios is a 2023 SS/C/2B with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Newark, NJ. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran a 7.99 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, gets low at the ball and fields it out front, some bend at the knees, funnels into body and works around the ball, comfort with the forehand and shows accuracy on throws across, overall arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; short trigger for timing, occasionally late getting front foot down. Linear path through the zone and works the middle of the field with comfort, stays short with swing. Keeps hands inside the ball and repeats swing, can go to the opposite field.
