Tim Scarlett is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-6 230 lb. frame from Ladera Ranch, CA who attends Capistrano Valley. Large athletic build with projectable length. Primary pitcher, has a long arm action from a true three-quarter arm slot. Mid-leg lift, gets tall on his backside then works hard down the mound as he generates some downward angle on his 85-89 mph fastball. Slight arm side run increased as his outing went on. Fastball is heavy even for its upper-80's velocity. Whippy arm action creates some deception for the hitter. 12-to-6 shaped curveball possesses solid depth and he shows an ability to drop it in for strikes as well as burying it as a kill pitch. Arm is fluid and natural, strength is raw and still developing. Lengthy frame projects higher velocities as his arm continues to develop. High overall ceiling.
