Ryan Leavy is a 2020 RHP/2B/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Berkeley Prep. Medium frame with long limbs and an average build with room to add. Primary righthanded pitcher. Starts delivery slow and speeds up at gather. Utilizes some drop and drive actions to the plate. Gets good drive off the backside when moving down the mound. Releases from a high three-quarters arm slot. Has some head jerk at release. Heavy fastball with late life sitting in the mid 70's to low 80's and topping out at 81 miles per hour. Throws an 11-to-4 curveball with tight spin and some bite. Also worked out defensively from the outfield. Reads the ball off the bat well with a quick first step. Smooth paced transfer that is short and quick. Developing arm strength that showed some average and accurate carry to the bags topping out at 78 miles per hour. Good student as well.
