Evan Waddell is a 2007 2B/OF with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Palos Verdes Estates CA, who attends Palos Verdes HS. He has a young body for a 2007 prospect with some wiry strength. Waddell wasn't able to run the 60 but he has life athletic actions and good quickness on the field. At the plate, Waddell hits out of a quiet, balanced stance and gets the bat going easily. He shows very good bat speed and can turn on balls and pull them hard. He showed signs of some power and that should improve as he gets stronger and fills out. Waddell showed good upside with the bat and should be followed closely. He is an outstanding student.
