Jonathan Rodriguez is a 2023 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Fullerton, CA who attends Servite. Large frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.47 second sixty yard dash. Primary First Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he gathers out front. Very confident with the leather as he scoops it up with ease. Fundamental in his footwork as he turned the proper way turning two. Accurate with throws as he threw it 80 mph. Secondary Left-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch as he was simple and repeatable with his actions. Looseness to the arm as he delivered with slight crossfire, creating a tough natural angle. Fastball up to 82 mph with sink and arm side run. Changeup is already an advanced pitch as he tunnels it well and it fades late. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball as well that he landed for strikes. Secondary Outfielder, working quickly into the baseball as he gathered to the side. Footwork is solid and he carries weight well into throws. Threw it 81 mph during drills. Left-Handed Hitter, starting balanced as he glides into stride. Lets the barrel fly as he looks to pull the baseball when possible. Linear swing path as he looked to spray it on a line to all fields and did so successfully. Next level instincts already showing in the box. Good Student.
