Oscar Hernandez is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Montverde Academy. Recorded a 7.44 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with a barrel chested build and good present strength. Primary first baseman with a loose and whippy arm. Hands are clean with good arm strength recorded up to 84 mph. Very good athleticism around the bag and can likely play third base in the future. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a three-quarters arm slot and lots of movement on the fastball. Pounds the zone with fastballs. Worked to both sides of the plate and secondary pitches were effective if not a bit too sparingly used. Righthanded hitter with a very easy swing and simple trigger. Narrow and open stance with looseness and hits the ball out in front. Shifts into contact with a direct path. Ball carries very well off the barrel. Long fly balls to the pull side with intent. Named to the 14u National TP List.
