Noah Lane is a 2020 OF/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Helix. Medium frame with an athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, clean footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels off to side and displayed a compact arm circle through transition. Released from a three-quarters slot producing on line carry to the bag at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and sweeping leg lift trigger. Created linear shift into contact while employing a lifted barrel plane through extension. Flashed some feel for the barrel and generated hard contact to the gaps when on time and squared. Also pitched showing a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Tends to land open on front side while releasing from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated slight run back to arm side in the mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Breaking ball showed 10/5 shape but created tight spin with sharper depth when staying on top of delivery. Also flashed very good arm speed with a changeup in the upper 60's that consistently kept hitter off balance. Excellent student.
