Taylor Engle is a 2008 C/OF with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Pompano Beach FL, who attends Pompano Beach HS. He has a medium build with good athletic strength for his age. Engle ran 7.40 in the 60 and threw 62 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.30. His catching tools looked inexperienced and his arm strength was short for the position at present. Engle's best tools were with the bat. He had a short, crisp swing with some present bat speed. He used his hands well and showed some gap to gap power, especiall to right centerfield. His hitting ability is projectable as he gets stronger. Engle is an outstanding student.
