Blayne Yarger is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Rolla, MO who attends Rolla HS. Tall very slender build, has loose actions and is very projectable physically. Big leg raise delivery, has energy in his delivery but controls his direction and balance well, 3/4's arm slot with good extension. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, tends to pitch glove side and gets good cutting life on the fastball. Nice change up with outstanding life at times. Flashed curveball spin but tends to rush out and lose leverage at release, can become a solid third pitch with more consistency. Should continue to improve in all areas as he gets strong. Left handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a simple and direct swing, handles the barrel well and makes consistent contact. Good student.
