Alex Balint is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Jamison, PA who attends Central Bucks-South. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.36 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, higher takeback through arm stroke, hides the ball well behind head at apex, loads into backhip well and drives downhill, inline stride, high three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 78-81 mph, worked up in zone and missed a lot of bats with fastball, showed excellent feel for his changeup with arm speed replication and quality fading action, mixed in slurvier breaking ball for strikes, attacked hitters and was extremely successful. Hits from slightly open stance with high hands and back elbow, line drive swing plane, hands work well through swing, whole-field approach that he executed well. Worked out at first base, hands work well out front, tends to use deeper funnel at times, turns well and makes quick transfer, clocked up to 82 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
