Wade Kelly is a 2020 OF/C with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Massapequa, NY who attends Massapequa HS. Tall and slender athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide upright base, has a very short and direct swing and barrel path, quiet load, line drive swing plane, best when he's getting off his back side and hitting through contact, tends to stay on his back side at times, swung the bat well in games and squared up consistently. 6.78 runner, showed good actions through the ball in the outfield, short and quick arm action on his throws, has arm strength and makes accurate throws. Also catches and shows athleticism behind the plate, footwork still developing but could make an impact at the position with repetitions and more physical strength. Uses his speed aggressively on the bases. Good student.
