Elijah Henning is a 2020 SS/2B/3B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Desert Mountain HS. Tall and athletic frame with long legs and a high waist. Ran a 6.92 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, moved to the baseball in infield drills with athletic movements, fields the baseball bending at the waist flashing clean hands, could work one footwork moving through funnel, takes his arm back to a loose arm action with average arm strength, topped out at 79 mph from across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a spread out stance, strides into contact hitting the baseball out in front, swings with intent flashing pop to his pull side when on time, line drive pull approach. Outstanding student.
