Logan Pannhorst is a 2021 LHP/ with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo HS. Logan is a athletically built, poised and mature lefthanded pitching prospect. In addition to his skill on the mound, he is also an exemplary student. Most striking about Logan's approach on the mound is presence. He understands his ability and truly pitches within those talents. He pitches from the stretch only using a shorter takeaway and an extended finish. The ball appears to jump from his hand so his velo could actually play up. There is a bit of cross fire in his lower half which adds to his deception. He pitches off his 79-83 running and sinking fastball that he works confidently to both edges of the plate. Easy to see a lot of broken bats from this pitch. His 72 mph change up is a mature feel pitch that he executes routinely well. It tunnels from the FB window and is thrown with FB arm quickness. Probably his "go-to" secondary pitch. He throws two breaking pitches that look very similar in shape. His 65 mph curveball is more slider-like in shape and function. His 66 mph slider looks very similar to his curveball but actually has a little more late depth. Both the CB and SL are more sweeper like than true over-the-top down breakers. Logan has the right idea on the mound. He shows a solid three-plus mix and can throw strikes to both edges. He certainly can impact a small college pitching staff quickly.
