Ruben Joseph Rivera is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Danville, CA who attends San Ramon Valley. Medium frame with a lean, athletic type build. Ran a 7.05 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, short choppy steps working into the baseball under control. Gathers to the side and carries weight well into throws. Accurate to the bag with carry to throws as he threw it 85 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working into a side-step to a higher lift. Drives with the back side and gets down the mound. Full arm circle and released from a higher slot. Naturally deceptive in the delivery. Fastball up to 79 mph and mixed in both a slider and a changeup he proved he could land for strikes. Right-Handed Hitter, balanced to start before working into a weight shift. Big leg lift and then unloads. Violent cuts as he looks to get extended and pull the baseball for power. Proved he could do just that as he launched baseballs to the pull-side. Outstanding Student.
