Logan Landers is a 2021 1B/RHP with a 6-6 195 lb. frame from Cedarburg, WI who attends Brookfield Academy. Extra-large, long and athletic frame with square shoulders and plenty of room to fill out moving forward, has present strength to frame too. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front and moves well for age and size on feet, full arm action through the back and shows looseness to arm action, gets on top of throws, overall actions will continue to develop. Also pitched, does a nice job of staying on line with lower half to the plate, works with a shorter arm stroke through the back and gets to an over-the-top release point. Works around the zone with fastball and topped out at 74 mph, short running life to fastball; pitched to contact and able to induce weak contact off the bat. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Simple stride into contact with lower half and stays short to the ball while keeping hands in throughout. Carry off the barrel and able to create leverage at point of contact, getting hands and barrel out with additional extension will result in added power; stays through contact well and able to work all fields presently. Named to 14U National Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
