Wes Collins is a 2019 OF/1B, RHP with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Caseyville, IL who attends O'Fallon. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout. Ran a 6.95 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with clean, athletic footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Soft hands at pick up and worked trough transition with fluid glove to hand exchanges. Displayed good arm strength at release generating accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 85 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Shifts into contact with lower half well. Simple, direct hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Displayed present bat speed and strength at contact while employing a gap to gap approach. Showed developing feel for the barrel with the ability to generated loud, explosive contact when on time and squared. Very good student as well.
