Grant Cherry is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Vestavia Hills, AL who attends Vestavia Hills. Long athletic build with increasing present strength and more to come. Works from a 3/4's arm slot with a deep and hooked arm action in back, up tempo delivery that can create timing inconsistency, stays on line well to the plate. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, best fastballs are when he powers to the bottom of the zone with his arm being on time, gets life and heaviness down in the zone, mostly straight when elevated. Showed some power bite and slider shape to his breaking ball in the upper 70's, better consistency and good depth in the mid-70's. Quality arm who will keep improving as he develops consistency in his mechanics.
