Donovan Dykstra is a 2021 1B/RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Martinez, GA who attends Lakeside. Recorded a 8.12 second 60 yard dash time. Big and tall frame with room for added strength. Primary first baseman with a long arm action and low slot. Long gather on the throws. Showed feel for the glove with a some nice picks during the infield drills. Arm strength will improve as he gets stronger and works through the ball, carrying his momentum towards the target. Left-handed hitter with an open stance and high hand and elbow set. Big shift forward into contact. Tends to get off balance over his front side. Shows high intent swing with pull side approach. Will improve barrel accuracy and pop as he stays back and works behind the ball. Good student.
