Rich Snider is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-6 185 lb. frame from Springfield, IL who attends Springfield. Right-handed pitcher with a tall and slender frame that has room to fill out and add strength. Starts from the windup with a small side step into a leg lift that reaches just above the belt. Has clean and repeatable direction down the mound, falling some to the glove side at release. Has a long arm action, showcasing present arm speed from an over the top slot. Fastball up to 84 miles per hour flashes big, arm-side life, locates that pitch well to both sides of the plate. Shows good feel to spin a curveball with 11-5 shape and late depth through the zone. Can land the curveball for strikes in the mid-70s and generates swings and misses when on time and out front. Developing command at times but is really tough on hitters when around the strike zone. Good student. Verbal commitment to University of Illinois-Springfield.
