Tim Gallagher is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-5 175 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a side step moving into delivery, high leg lift up past belt and gets tall on back side; very short stride down the mound and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into drive towards plate. Short and quick arm action through the back side working to a high three-quarters release point; filled the zone and topped out at 78 mph, shows life down and uses length well to generate downhill plane on fastball. Mixed in a 12-6 shaped curveball up to 69 mph with short tilting action down in the zone. Similar release on throws from first base, slower release with deliberate actions coming off the bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set in the box and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Upper body dominant swing, long swing path through the zone, front side opens early at times, best when working on a linear swing path.
